The majority of SWLEP programmes are designed to support the Swindon and Wiltshire local infrastructure and generate economic growth - homes and jobs. This includes transport, science parks and unlocking land for homes or employment land. Some of our programmes are aimed at individuals residing within the SWLEP area and in particular those wanting to improve their employment skills regardless of age and prior experience.
Our programmes are funded by either by Central Government or European Funding, which is mainly secured through competitive bids. Programmes are primarily delivered by the local Unitary Authorities, Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Council; revenue contracts are delivered by local partners.
