Paddy Bradley

Paddy Bradley (Director SWLEP)

As Director, Paddy has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the SWLEP. A highly-experienced local government director, Paddy was previously Head of Economy, Skills and Property Development at Swindon Borough Council. 

 
Paddy has a wide range of experience in the public and private sectors, working as a business analyst and system designer. He also spent over 20 years in education as a teacher, head teacher and education inspector.
Ian Durston

Ian Durston (Programme Manager, SWLEP)

Ian is responsible for overseeing the delivery of all projects funded through the SWLEP. He has over 20 years experience in project management in both the public and private sectors, including at Airbus, the South West Regional Development Agency, Atkins and Deloitte Consulting. 

He qualified as a PMI project manager and has also lived and worked in Mexico, Nepal and New Zealand.
Debby Skellern

Debby Skellern (Programme Manager - Policy, SWLEP)

Debby leads on economy and policy for the SWLEP. 
 
She has over 20 years of hands-on economic development experience working in both the private and public sector. She is an experienced Programme Manager and Researcher with a particular interest in business support and sector development. 

Prior to joining the SWLEP, Debby managed the Economic Growth Team at Wiltshire Council specialising in: inward investment; business development; regeneration and programme management.
Colette Mallon

Colette Mallon (Business Engagement Manager, SWLEP)

Colette leads Business Engagement for the SWLEP. She has specific responsibility for building relationships with businesses, government, stakeholder organisations and other LEPs to support the delivery of the Swindon and Wiltshire Strategic Economic Plan. 

In her previous roles Colette, managed the North Wiltshire Economic Partnership and Kennet Economic Partnership and was the lead officer at Wiltshire Council for Inward Investment.
Julian Head

Julian Head (Strategic Economic Programmes Manager)

Julian leads the implementation of the European Structural and Investment Fund(ESIF) programme for the SWLEP. 

His background comes from across the public sectors, with broad experience in rural development and regeneration programmes through to land planning tribunals. This adds to his private sector experience in law and personal finance. Julian is currently on secondment to the SWLEP having worked in the Swindon and Wiltshire area for over 9 years.
Vanessa Joseph

Vanessa Joseph (Communications Manager)

Vanessa manages the marketing and communication function of the SWLEP. Her experience lies largely in the corporate sector working in the IT, Telecommunications and Banking fields to deliver internal and external communications, public relations and brand building projects.
Adam Tissington

Adam Tissington (ERDF Technical Assistance 2014-2020)

Adam is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Technical Assistance component of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) programme within the SWLEP. In his primary role Adam, works on raising awareness and understanding of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and its bidding opportunities within Swindon Borough and Wiltshire Councils, as well as promoting collaborative working and exchange of best practices in relation to ERDF opportunities.

 

Adam comes from a varied operational background having started with a career in the Royal Air Force. He then went on to work in the telecommunications industry which led to a Business Development role for Virgin in South Africa. While there he worked in various departments including retail and sales, financial forecasting and recruitment.

Deborah House

Deborah House (Executive Assistant)

Deborah manages the overall administration and secretarial function of the SWLEP Board and its commissioning groups. She is also the primary contact into the SWLEP. In her past roles she has worked for the private, public and not-for-profit sectors in England, Spain and Germany, working across industries including food and drink, travel, engineering and software.

Trudie Clarkson

Trudie Clarkson (Business Support Administrator)

Trudie manages the administration and secretarial function of the SWLEP Subgroups which feed into the main SWLEP Board. In her past roles she has worked in the private and public sectors, working across industries including food and drink, travel, financial services and the latterly with the MOD.
