Head of Investment and Export

The Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP) has an opportunity for a Head of Investment and Export based at Monkton Park, Chippenham.

This role is part of a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

About the role

The Head of Investment and Export will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the SWLEP’s business development strategic objective through:

  • Strategic engagement with national Government agencies and their international representatives to promote Swindon and Wiltshire as an attractive location for internationally mobile investment projects
  • promoting exporting activity through engagement with the Export team of the Department of International Trade (DIT) and public- and private-funded export support programmes; and
  • securing and managing the delivery of SWLEP investment funds to businesses located within Swindon and Wiltshire including the Growing Places Infrastructure Fund.

Salary: £57,961 - £63,898

About you

You will be educated to degree and postgraduate level or equivalent or able to demonstrate relevant experience, preferably in the private sector.

You will have experience of leading high performing teams within the inward investment field and of managing funding programmes. You will be a qualified Prince2 /MSP Practitioner and possess strong project and programme management skills with an extensive demonstrable track record of bringing complex policy projects/programmes to the market.

You will be able to work with people and stakeholders from different organisations and have a good understanding of business, Local Economic Partnerships, local government, central government or similar quasi-government bodies.
