SWLEP Privacy Notice

The Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP) is a non-statutory partnership between the public and private sectors, established to play a central role in determining local economic priorities and undertaking activities to drive economic growth and the creation of local jobs.  The SWLEP is a partnership between Swindon Borough Council, Wiltshire Council, businesses in the area and the Military, with representatives from all these organisations on its Board.  Wiltshire Council is the Accountable Body for the SWLEP and  is the data controller for the programme. 

This policy covers the purposes for and the treatment of personally identifiable information that SWLEP collects when you apply to SWLEP’s many funding opportunities or when you opt to receive latest news and information from the SWLEP.  This also includes SWLEP social media platforms, when you email us, give us feedback or when you complete and submit an online form via email.

The SWLEP  processes personal and business data in accordance current privacy legislation and complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.  
The SWLEP  will use or continue to use the information for the following:

  • fulfilling your request for information or services
  • marketing
  • surveys
  • questionnaires 
  • Business to Business (B2B) meetings if appropriate 
  • as input to improving our  systems or product
  • to inform you of improvements to our systems or products

We use Google Analytics (GA) to collect statistical data about our visitors and how they use our site so that we can improve our website. The GA cookies collect information including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from and the pages they visited.

We collect this information in a way that does not identify you and the data is not shared with anybody else.

Information sharing and disclosure

SWLEP will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone, or use the data for any other purpose than the purpose for which it was originally collected.

SWLEP will only send personally identifiable information about you to other companies when we have your consent, or have a legal reason to do so. We may also use your information in response to subpoenas, court orders or other legal process. We will only hold your information for as long as necessary for these purposes.

Opt out of the SWLEP mailing list

If you wish to be removed from the SWLEP mailing list, please send an email to communications@swlep.co.uk with the following subject line "Remove me from the SWLEP mailing list" and the email address to be removed within the email. Please note that it may take up to 21 days to action your request. In addition, each e-communication we send you will contain the link to the SWLEP email if you decide to unsubscribe at any time.
